Whirley-Girls is starting their mid year scholarships. Get information at https://www.whirlygirls.org/  This time there are 5 available!

Dan Oppenheim has joined our team! He comes to us form New York where he instructed and did commercial work.

Hayward Airport had a information meeting going over specific procedures and safety items. This was also good for wings credit.

Justin Balinski has joined our team as a CFI/CFII instructor. Justin comes to us with a lot of experience from flying in the military to extensive instruction experience.

Bethany has been successful in getting a job flying tours in the Grand Canyon and Vegas! We are sorry to see her go but excited for her at the same time.

2017

The Hayward Airport will be having its Open House Sunday September 24th. There will be Vintage Aircraft, Warbirds, Rescue Vehicles, Jets and Helicopters on display. ATC tower tours are available along with food and music!

Sunday’s ground school class has been canceled until further notice. Ground is still available with your instructor.

We had the Alameda Sea Scouts in for a ground session and flights. There were 8 people both boys and girls from age 12 – 17. We even got Commanding Officer Hank Pederson up in the air!

The Young Eagles flights were a great success! It was a beautiful day and the children were all smiles after the flights. Thanks to all the volunteers that make this possible.

The Young Eagles are coming to Hayward! Vertical CFI Helicopters along with Michael Mackin will be sponsoring free helicopter rides to a select few participants on 7/29

Grace Zeller is now a CFI with us! She comes to us with a wealth of experience and a great attitude of fun and professionalism.

San Carlos Flight Center has closed its helicopter training school. We are still going strong and are here for you! Video lessons, free ground school and plenty of helicopter availability.

We have a new (to us) helicopter! It is a Robinson R22 BII. It only has 100 + hours since its re build. This adds to our flexibility on scheduling and photo flights!

Wayne flew a very good sunrise flight this morning. We had a little haze at the start but as the sun came up it went away. There was low fog that was spectacular giving Richard some very nice shots.

It is getting very hot out so make sure you plan for the heat. Wear cool clothes and drink plenty of water!

The weather is getting good and our pilots have been busy scheduling flights with family and friends.

Bethany had a special photo flight tonight. It was a treat because the Warriors won the championship and there were fireworks as she flew by the Coliseum!

Bethany flew a charity golf ball drop in Napa.
